About me
I love working with people and with computers.
But first and foremost, I love to build stuff. Whatever that might be, a piece of software, an article, some sketchy design or even good old presentation slides. The process of creation gives me a buzz. I lose the notion of time. That's my happy place.
To avoid climbing the wrong hill , I've spent the past decade wearing many hats. I worked as a Software Developer, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, CTO and CPO. I even did UX Design for a while, but I wasn't too good at it. :)
During most of my career, I've built products enabling people to buy & sell online.
I've learned the mechanics of marketplaces at tutti.ch , the Swiss Craigslist.
Vitals.app taught me the ins & outs of Ecommerce. Running an app on over 30,000 Shopify stores teaches you a lot!
Both tutti.ch and vitals.app are generalists. They offer a wide range of services, rather than specializing in a specific vertical.
There's a unique playbook on how to win from this position.
To paraphrase a famous saying in the marketplace business,
"Winning as a generalist is easy. You only need to get 1,000 things right."
That's how I feel sometimes, as I'm a generalist myself. One thing's for sure, you never get bored as it's always Day 1 for generalists.
